8 IG's Available

Because I do not currently have any IG's available, I am referring people to other reputable sources.

Karen Chant ( Diavolino IG's ) currently has 4 IG's listed on her website. 1 is a Rescue, available for adoption through Hearts United for Animals. The other 3 are being placed by their breeder and are still quite young, with a lot of love left to give. You can see pics and read a bit about all 5 of these Iggies here. http://www.diavolinoigs.com/Available.html

A breeder is facing health issues which have proven to be a challenge. She feels that placing a few of her Iggies would be best for all concerned. Cantex IG's www.cantexigs.com is currently screening homes for 4 of their IG's. Please visit their site, click on the Available Dogs page to learn more.

If you have never shared your home and heart with an Iggy, please let me know. I have put together an IG Handbook which I provide - free of charge - to anyone interested. I believe that education is the key to a healthy relationship with any breed and will also help in reducing the number of people who are paired with a breed that clearly isn't suited, thus turning to Rescue. I can e-mail the handbook to you, just contact me.

Blessings!

Min Pin Available

This is PIPER - in the front, with Ari and Diana. This pic is about 2 yrs old, she has a little grey on her face now.

As most of you already know, I used to breed/show Miniature Pinschers. After the loss of my beloved Liam, I spayed his sister Piper and decided that it was time to retire from breeding.

I placed Piper in a home over a year ago. Unfortunately, through no fault of her own, she was returned to me. The owner called and asked me to babysit Piper for 4 days. That was in August and I haven't heard a word since. The reason that I placed Piper was because I felt she would be happier in a home with another Min Pin. When her mother ( Hope ) passed away Piper just wasn't the same. When I got her back, I intended to simply keep her but she is not comfortable around Tango. So I have decided to try and find her a quiet home where she can be comfortable, relax and enjoy her golden years.

Piper is 9 yrs young, about 7 pounds, solid red with natural ears, spayed. She has some basic obedience training, is reliable in the house, extremely affectionate and very quiet. Ideally, I would like to find her a quiet home where she would be the only dog or with another little dog for her to play with. She is very cuddly, likes to play with toys, enjoys her treats.

She would have to be kept on a strict diet - she was returned to me morbidly obese. She is currently eating Innova Evo, which is a grain-free kibble and agrees very well with her. Treats will have to be kept to a minimum, as a dog this size cannot afford the extra weight.

Piper will come fully equipped with a crate, dishes, leash/collar, blankets, a bag of food and a lifetime of support. As with every dog I place, I offer a full takeback agreement. I will take her back at any time in her life if it doesn't work out.

If you are interested in Piper, please contact me. faeryhound@yahoo.ca I am not in a hurry to place Piper and will continue to search until the very best home for her can be found. I want this to be her final stop, her forever home. She deserves the very best.

Update

This is an automated response due to the large volume of emails we have received
about the Samoyed dogs needing homes.

We appreciate all the out pour of interest and concern. Please know that the dogs are being well taken care of as we find them new families. Alomst all of the dogs have been placed in their
forever homes within just two weeks of Cathy's passing on 2/21. All dogs have been spayed prior to going to their new home.

We are reviewing all requests and applications to place the last two 11-year olds. We may or may not respond to your email.

Note: Those who have made posts to websites (rescue organizations, blogs,
etc.), please remove your posts. We have more than enough leads for the
remaining dogs.

Thanks, again!
Velvet and Trish

Samoyeds Available

This was forwarded to me by my Mother ( Coronado Standard Poodles ). Because you never know where a home may be waiting, I wanted to post it here.

Blessings!

Samoyeds who need a "forever home" because their owner/breeder, Cathy Pendleton, is losing her battle with breast cancer. She can no longer care for her dogs and has been moved to Hospice after being in the hospital for a week.

I'm giving this a wider distribution than usual, so some of you may receive it more than once. Even though you may not be on a "rescue" group email, I'm including you in the hopes that you can forward on to the widest distribution so that these girls all have a chance to find the perfect new home. The dogs are in the Atlanta , GA , area, but they will allow them to be adopted out of state.

All the owner/breeder wants is for all of these girls to get good homes. Currently, they are not wanting to place any of the dogs in foster care because they are trying to move the dogs only once. My understanding is that the older animals have been spayed. The dogs range in age from 1.5 years to more senior dogs.

One look at their picture shows how extraordinarily beautiful these dogs are. The new "forever" home will need to have a fenced yard with sufficient space for an active dog. The folks who are placing the Samoyeds for the owner may do a home visit either before, after, or both to ensure that the dog and their new family are a good fit.

Thanks for giving this the widest distribution possible. Following is the email from the lady who is managing the adoption of these lovely ladies.

Hello, everyone,

It is with great sadness to pass along that my dog breeder, Cathy Pendleton, whom I love and treasure, is losing her battle with breast cancer. She can no longer care for her dogs. She is in hospice after being in the hospital for a week.

We are in the process of placing her Samoyeds. If you know of anyone who would like a sweet natured, playful pet, please let me know. She has all girls who range from 1.5 years old to more senior dogs. All are healthy and have been very well taken care of. New homes need to have space for an active dog and a fenced in back yard. We may do a home visit to ensure that these precious dogs and their new family are the right fit. There is no cost, but the new family will need to spay the dog if it is less than 7 years old.

They can move out of state. The new family needs to be willing to stay in touch with the "Sammy family." We will want to know how they are doing and if it is working out, etc.
Let me know if you have any leads. Thanks for your help!
